Spring Clean With Exercise On The Top Of Your List

March 30, 2007

This is the time of year for Spring cleaning everyone!  Yes, our homes, but what about our bodies and our minds?  This is a great time to focus on honoring our bodies and cleansing them by slowing down and tuning in to our natural rhythms.  Go for long walks, make fresh juices from fruits and veggies and add a little spirulina for extra flavor and amino acids.  Meditate, take a nap, or write in your journal.  Use relaxing poses like the following that will take the edge off your busy, busy life that may have created  hypersensitivity or irritability!!  You will be glad you did!

a)      Reclining Bound Angle Pose

b)      Legs up the Wall Pose

c)      Corpse Pose

The above poses calm and replenish the body especially if you focus on the exhalation, in other words the emptying out or releasing of toxins.  Or take a look at the following poses that assist in detoxification as well:

a)      Revolved abdomen Pose  (spinal twist)

b)      Bridge Pose

c)      Knees to Chest Pose

Practicing these deep relaxation poses will indeed take the edge off anybody’s intense schedule.  Remember, isn’t it about time?
