May 22, 2007
Okay everyone, there is always one important fitness component that most either neglect or don’t make time for and that is stretching after workout! SO here are a few tips for stretching.
The type of stretch that is most safe and effective is the static stretch. It is a method of stretching in which the bones of a joint are moved to the point where the soft tissues surrounding the joint restrict further movement. This type of stretch should be held for 10-30 seconds and should be performed 3-7 days a week or after every workout!
You should perform static stretching after the muscles are warm, possibly during your workout between sets and after the weight training workout is completed.
Remember, you have to hot to stretch for the stretch to be most effective!
