The Results From Doing Both Cardio And Strength-Training Everyday

September 22, 2007

The question is will you get better results from doing both cardio and a strength-training routine everyday?  The answer is a firm NO!  It doesn’t work, as you need ample time to recover after a strength-training workout before you tear down the muscles again!

When you exercise you put stress on your joints, tendons, and ligaments as you are contracting your muscles again and again. This causes microtrauma, or very little tears in the muscle. If you get the rest needed between workouts, this causes the brain to rebuild the body stronger than it was before, but it takes TIME!

So, this rule of thumb is workout out to much makes you weaker, rest and recovery makes you stronger!
