Detoxifying Diets And Foods
July 12, 2007
As we begin an exercise program and start to feel better, both about our physical appearance and how we feel, there comes along with this another natural change and it is in the foods we eat!
American loves things sweet, yes, we do! We also loves things creamy or bigger for that matter as well. But with this we find we become deficient in important vitamins and minerals to build a strong healthy body.
Now we are aware of what we are eating and desire to change our habits that are unproductive, in other words, we want to cleanse the inside and get out of the mode of excess. We first cleanse and then build the body. So here are a few food suggestions that will either cleanse or build the body.
Foods that cleanse:
Salads
Water-based vegetables
Water-based fruits
Carrots
Fruit juice
Soups
Fish that are light
And actually a lot less of any food.
Foods that build:
Whole Grains
Oatmeal
Oils, Olive, grapeseed, canola.
Soy Milk
Rice Milk
Starchy Foods
Denser meats ex: beef/
If we just look at what is mentioned above, I think we generally know intuitively what is a cleansing food and what is a building food. Truly, we do have those body rhythms, we just need to pay attention to them.
So finish off your program by paying attention to your nutrition. It really is a “whole” process!
