Diet Traps

July 10, 2007

You know what everyone there are traps to overeating that come on easily and without effort.  Let me give you a few hints:  One of the first traps is the size of plate, use a 9-10 inch plate versus a 12 inch plate and you will consume much less, in fact, studies show that it is about 28 percent less using the smaller plates.

When you begin to feel full just take the plate away.  Otherwise, you may find yourself picking at it until it is gone just because it is simply in front of you.

In social settings, some are faster eaters and those who are slower eaters take their time.

So that means you probably feel like to have to keep eating as well.  After you have finished your portion, just sip on a glass of water or herbal tea and that will satisfy you immediately.

One last thing, studies show that we tend to eat just as much as who we are dining with. So if they eat second portions, you most likely will too.  Just relax and keep sipping.

Best thing is to just pay attention but don’t bring attention.  Bon appetit!!!

I totally agree with this, I should print this out in 72 point size and keep it in my wallet (folded, obviously).

Got something to say?
