Get Super In-Shape Eating Supernutrients

Ah, we are always hearing about the Supernutrients that will enhance our healthful eating, which, I think it helps to simplify because we have far too many choices. So here is a few supernutrients for your own gee whiz collection that may help you as you make healthy food selections.
- Carbohydrates: By eating complex carbs, which are fruits, vegetables and whole grains will keep the blood sugar stable and give the body great nutrition and energy whereas the simple or low-quality carbs that are found in foods that are loaded with refined flours and sugars can make you feel irritable, lethargic or cause erratic blood sugar.
- Protein: Is critical to keeping the mood level because it helps to slow down the absorption of carbs, which will prevent the highs and lows of the blood sugar. Try to include some protein each meal.
- Monounsaturated fats: These are the heart healthy fats which include canola oil, olive oil, and grapeseed oil which have been shown to help with migraine headaches and of course cholesterol levels.
- B vitamins: Critical to energy, especially since it is a water-soluable vitamin that is wasted off every day. Especially used up in workouts.
- Vitamin C: Protects cells from free-radical damage in the body.
When choosing your meal plan each day, keep in mind which nutrients keep your energy up, your blood sugar from dropping, and your heart healthy. Bon appetit!!!
