Lose Weight Doing Yoga?

March 9, 2007

Yoga can help you lose weight, but not in the way you would think.  It’s not necessarily the poses or the workout that helps you lose weight, it’s the attitude you develop from the practice of yoga.  It actually helps you to relax, enjoy and begin to eat in a controlled way that is natural and self-regulating.  It is wonderful how we begin to accept what is for the time and tell ourselves we are okay and then the body responds in a way that may shed some pounds.  Great side effect!!!! Don’t you think? I should say so.

Talk about a holistic approach to improvement on a grand scale…yoga, is the thing. It truly does effect body, mind, and spirit. Dis ease really equals disease. It is so necessary to find balance in as many areas and ways as one can. The world out there can be fast and scary (we see the results of imbalance). Yoga rocks!
