Need More Energy? Here’s The Answer!
February 20, 2007
There is an ancient way to actually catch up on your sleep! In ACE Fitness matters, a research article reports that an ancient guided meditation called Yogic Sleep both relaxes the body and the mind and replenishing energy that is guzzled by the 9-5 workload!!!
They believe that the mind is a “revved-up perpetual-thought machine” that senselessly is churning out trivial, repetitive and / or negative musings. That, by the way, keeps us senselessly awake at night, and fatigued by day!! They mention how peace of mind cannot come if the mind is always present. You can only FULLY relax if your ego is virtually out to lunch. Soooooooo, this is where Yogic sleep comes into play, by using yoga techniques that get you out of your mind and into the non-mind where peace exists.
They also claim that although it is not a substitute for conventional sleep, that you can with 20 to 40 minutes of that Yogic sleep experience eight hours of standard SNOOZING. A great time to try this is right after work to rejuvenate yourself for the evening. Don’t do it too close to bedtime or it will keep you awake just like some caffeine. Sound good to you? Try it, you will like it!!! Because “deep rest is the only way that truly heals the body!”
