Quick And Easy Exercises That Give You Energy
January 2, 2008
For a short, really quick pick me up in the office, find a corner during your break and do a few Pilates exercises to get the blood pumping, feel rejuvenated, not to mention getting your core stronger!
1) The hundreds—lying down in a supine position, with flexed spine, long arms pumping, breathing in 5 counts and out 5 counts with feet flat on floor and knees bent or elevated in a table top position. Make sure to do 100!
2) Rolling like a ball—Lying down supine position, wrapping arms around the front shin, tuck the neck and head, leading with the lower back, rocking back and forth without touching the floor.
3) Crisscross—Supine position, with legs elevated and lowered to a 45 degree angle with one knee into chest. Hands on the back of neck, with neck in a neutral position. Cross over to opposite side with knee bent and extend the other side, slowly alternating between sides.
Just try these out for a few weeks and see how you feel! It will make you feel much better immediately.
