Reasons We Don’t Exercise
December 22, 2007
The American Council on Exercise did a study and found that 19 percent of their respondents don’t exercise because of excuses not because they are out of shape!! Interesting!!
Here are a sample of the excuses that ACE said they used:
“I’m trying to gain weight, so when I do start my exercise plan, it will be more of a workout!” David McDaniel, 44 Covington, Tennessee.
“My dog had surgery and couldn’t walk with me. And he cried if I went alone, so I had to stay home.” Jacy Wade, 52, Charlotte Hall, Maryland.
I’m sure we all can find our own ridiculous excuses for not doing our workouts, and I’m included. My primary one is, “I’m tired!”
Women are more likely to make a resolution, but it’s the men who are more likely to stick with it.
So come on girls, no more excuses and let’s get going!
