Standing Primary Series

Okay, as promised here is the Astanga Standing Primary Series that some of you requested!

Remember, first, you start with your warmups, namely Half salutations, then Sun Salutations A and B,  preferably  between 3-5 sets of each!

Then the following poses in order:

1. Big Toe Pose

2. Hand under Foot Pose

3. Triangle

4. Reverse Triangle

5. Extended Side Angle

6. Expanded Leg

7. Reverse Namaste

8. Hand to Big Toe

9. Standing Half Bound

10. Fierce  (similar to chair pose)

11. Warrior I

12. WarriorII

After finishing those come to seated and end with a closing sequence using Happy Baby, Spinal Twist, and other spinal massage and release poses.   Please Please end with Corpse Pose, these poses should take you about 45-50 minutes total and will bring your spine back to neutral often and take your entire body through a wonderful Range of Motion that it necessary to maintain good spinal health.
