What’s The Best Diet

April 16, 2007

Some people get caught up in the low-fat diets or others get caught up in high protein, low carbs diets or yet some others will do all liquid diets.  All have proven to be fads or cause more problems with weight gain/loss in the future.  Here is my suggestion for dieting.  First don’t look at your eating plan as a diet, look at it as feeding your body and responding to the natural desire of eating, it is God-given.  However, here are a few keys to assist in success:

1)      Keep a food diary every day.

2)      Get your food in.  We eat very unbalanced diets. Your body needs nutrition, it takes fuel to have fuel.  So if you are an active adult who is within her healthy BMI range then your plan should look something like this:   2 ½ proteins, 3 fruits, 4 veggies, 1 dairy, 1 fat, 3 starches, 8 glasses of water a day.

Healthy weight loss is slow, 1-2 pounds per week, and you find you will lose the fat weight versus water weight, which is a temporary, quick weight loss.  Stick with it and you will see your body will lean up, however, it all takes time!!!

Hi Ruth: This is very tricky as it can be fatal for you. You must get a list directly from your doctor. he knows the levels you are taking and has been monitoring your blood. Thank you though, for reading and commenting. I hope their office will give you this VERY important information.
    Many Blessings,
    Deni
